Training Basics
Rowing technique: legs, body, arms
AuraVia Team · 4 min de lecture
Rowing works almost your whole body — if you use it in the right order. Remember: legs, body, arms on the way out; arms, body, legs on the way back.
The drive
Push with your legs first, keeping your arms straight. When your legs are almost straight, lean back slightly, then pull the handle to just below your chest.
The return
Reverse it: straighten your arms, lean forward from the hips, then bend your knees to slide back. The return should take about twice as long as the drive.
Getting started
Start on a low resistance with 10–15 minutes at an easy pace. Focus on smooth strokes rather than speed — around 20–24 strokes per minute.
These are general training tips. If you're new to exercise or have a health condition, check with your doctor first. Product details are on each product page.
